Volunteer Opportunities

The efforts of Menchville House are very much dependent on the support we receive from volunteers. Please contact our Volunteer Services Coordinator at 833-5980 if you can assist in any of the following areas:

Clerical, including bulk mailings; Transportation; Case Manager Assistants; Financial planning; Childcare (evenings); Landscaping; Computer instructors; General maintenance and repair; and, Job readiness Coaches.

If you wish to volunteer, complete the application for Volunteers or for the Board of Directors. Mail us your application and let us know about your experiences, strengths and hopes. We like to know what resources and competencies you will bring to Menchville House. And be sure to tell us how to contact you.

References are always required for anyone working or volunteering at Menchville House.

Items we need

Due to lack of storage space and our current need for items to meet our changing needs, we are asking that you donate your items to our partner: Parish Thrift Shop, 487 Wythe Creek Rd, Poquoson, VA 23662 @ (757) 868-0357. In turn, they contribute to Menchville House and provide items that we and our women and children may require.
